These are a few of the software projects I am working on. They are more-or-less completely unrelated but here none the less. Almost all my work is Open Source (the code is so bad that no-one in their right mind would want it anyway...) with the exception of just one system.
nSRE is [yet another] web framework written in PHP and which I use for some of the web projects I've worked on.
Apart from being a pet-project, nSRE also has one other important thing that sets it apart from many of the others. It is seriously minimal, by design. It handles security, users and themeing but otherwise keeps well out of your way.
SmplStat is, in essence, a glorified hit counter. It provides basic information about visitors to pages on a website but does not require a database back end. It does not require javascript, random graphics or use of server logs to aquire information. Instead, the counter returns a tiny png file with a specified solid colour.
SmplStat is appropriate for small scale sites which need an easy drop-in solution.
TiltRotate is a simple application for GNU/Linux which uses XRandR to rotate the screen of MacBooks equipped with a motion/tilt sensor. It will automatically change the screen orientation when the laptop is tilted.
The application lives in the system tray and provides feedback in the form of an arrow pointing towards where 'down' is. It can be easily disabled with a single click for the purpose of playing physical neverball...
League Manager is a commercial database written with a web-based front end. It facilitates the easy calculation and publication of results for local pool leagues. The system was commisioned by the Macclesfield Pool League and went into operation in the summer of 2008.
